Leukemia & Lymphona Society Rudolph Run

VERO BEACH — Saturday, Dec. 14, South Beach Park will once again be the host of the 6th Annual LLS Rudolph Run/Walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.) What started six years ago has grown into a community supported event to raise awareness for the continued fight against blood cancers.

Race begins and ends at South Beach Park. Race starts at 7:30 a.m.; however, registration opens at 6:30 a.m.

South Beach Park is located at the end of E. Causeway Blvd. (17th St. Bridge.) From the island, take SR A1A to 17th St. and go east to park.

From the mainland, take the 17th St. Bridge and go east to park.

Following the race, we will have awards and prize for the best Christmas costume.

There will be a pancake breakfast for runners. Nonrunners are welcome to join them for a small donation of $4.

Last year, we had the honor to have three special participants in the event. Three of our local kids, who were just going through chemo/radiation treatments for leukemia when this race got started 6 years ago, were among the participants.

This is a very compelling testament to the hard work that LLS is doing to battle blood cancers.
