Publix Food for All helps Treasure Coast Food Bank fight hunger

FORT PIERCE — Treasure Coast Food Bank is proud once again to be a community partner of Publix Super Markets and its 2013 Food For All campaign. The program enables every Publix shopper to join together to help solve hunger on the Treasure Coast by donating ‘gifts of hope.’

This year’s program will span three weeks, from Tuesday, Dec. 3 through Tuesday, Dec. 24. Brightly colored coupons will be displayed at checkout stands, and customers donate by having the cashier scan the coupon UPC code.

Over five dozen South Florida nonprofit agencies received more than $1.65 million from the 2012 Food For All campaign, and Treasure Coast Food Bank received a $155,000 grant.

“These small donations add up to a tremendous benefit for those in need on the Treasure Coast. This partnership is the embodiment of our belief that together, we can solve hunger.

We are extremely grateful to be a community partner again this year. Last year’s grant, provided through the generosity of Publix customers, helped us provide more than 1 million meals to families in need,” said Treasure Coast Food Bank CEO Judith Cruz.
