100 Thanksgiving meals donated by Rotary Club

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Rotary Club donated 100 Thanksgiving meals this season for Meals on Wheels homebound seniors of the Senior Resource Association (SRA.)

The community partnership between SRA and members of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach has become a longstanding tradition on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter each year for over 20 years.

Each holiday, roughly 100 meals are donated by the Rotary Club, totaling over 6,000 meals provided by their organization since the relationship was established.

This Thanksgiving, members of the Rotary Club of Vero Beach donated 100 Thanksgiving dinners that included turkey with gravy, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, flat green beans, roll, and banana pudding for our Meal on Wheels seniors. The meals were delivered in addition to their daily meal provided by SRA.

“Many of our seniors are food insecure and will be alone on Thanksgiving. We are so grateful for the overwhelming, continued support and contribution of meals from The Rotary Club of Vero Beach,” said Laura Roberts, Director of Nutrition Services at SRA.
