Ronald Campbell, 76, of Sebastian, died Nov. 19, 2013.
He was born March 12, 1937, in Kenosha Wis.
He was the son of the late Melvin and Edythe Campbell.
He is a graduate of Waukegan High School and attended Bradley University.
He raised his family in the Waukegan/Gurnee, Ill. area.
Ron had a career with Prudential Insurance.
He also was a small business owner before he retired to Florida in 1986.
He was very active in his community, including past President of Park Place Homeowners Association.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Kathryn (Katie) Campbell; three siblings, Allen Campbell, Shirley Booth, and Bruce Campbell; four children, Lora and Tom Blackowicz, of Lindenhurst Ill., Jon Campbell, of Twin Lakes, Wis., David Campbell, of Gurnee Ill., and Sara Patrick, of Port St. Lucie; five grandchildren Brian Blackowicz, Michael Blackowicz, Ryan Patrick, Samantha Cordt and Colleen Campbell; and 1 great grandchild.
Most importantly, his family would not be complete without mentioning Jasper, his four-legged furry companion.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Park Place Club House in Sebastian.
Donations can be made in his name to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in lieu of flowers.
