Carl J Mosher Sr., 83, of Vero Beach, died Nov. 11, 2013, after a long illness.
Major Mosher was a veteran of the United States Air Force, retired 1973, Southern Bell Telephone, and the Internal Revenue Service.
Prior to moving to Vero Beach in 2002, he was a 28 year resident of Miami Lakes, where he served the Miami Lakes Civic Association and Miami Lakes Optimist Club.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Catherine Dotson, of Miami Springs; sons Carl Mosher Jr. (Robin), of Birmingham, and Edward(Carmen) Mosher of Vero Beach; daughters Jennifer Mosher, of Vero Beach, and Michelle (Mark) Schleich of Miami Lakes; and grandchildren Marissa, Allie, Sarah, Matthew, Madeline, Maison, Katie, and Carly.
A viewing was held Nov. 14, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds 1950 20th St., Vero Beach.
He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetary.
