Inaugural Capt. Hiram’s River Challenge

SEBASTIAN — Capt. Hiram’s is holding its first sprint/triathlon to raise awareness of the perils that face the Indian River Lagoon, and also to showcase the city of Sebastian.

The sprint/triathlon will consist of a ½ mile swim, 12 mile bicycle ride, and a 5K run.

This first time event will be held at Capt. Hiram’s and its surrounding areas on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 8-11 a.m.

Capt. Hiram’s is looking for volunteers from the community to help at this event which will also feature educational kiosks, entertainment, food, and beverages.

This is a charitable event. All proceeds will be used to benefit CCA, ELC, and ORCA organizations.
