Turkey Drop-off Day coming up

TREASURE COAST — What better way to share the season of giving than by giving a turkey so others can have a Thanksgiving meal? Many families will be relying on Treasure Coast Food Bank and its partner agencies for a holiday meal, and Treasure Coast Food Bank relies on the generosity of the community.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, Treasure Coast Food Bank will be ready with refrigerated trucks at locations across the Treasure Coast for anyone wanting to drop off uncooked, frozen turkeys.

“There’s no better way to display the meaning of Thanksgiving than by sharing food with those who otherwise couldn’t share in the holiday tradition. We’re thankful to the Treasure Coast businesses who host our trucks in their parking lots each year to make Turkey Drop-Off Day possible,” said Judith Cruz, Treasure Coast Food Bank CEO.

Donate frozen, uncooked turkeys between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at any of the following drop-off sites:

Treasure Coast Harley-Davidson, 4967 SE Federal Hwy., Stuart

Perkins Restaurant, 9202 S. US 1, Port St. Lucie

St. Lucie Lanes, 6759 S. US 1, Port St. Lucie

Archie’s Seabreeze, 401 S. Ocean Dr., Fort Pierce

CVS, 1706 US 1, Vero Beach

Between now and the end of the year, Treasure Coast Food Bank will experience its busiest time and encourages everyone to open their hearts during the great Treasure Coast Holiday Food Drive.

In addition to donating a turkey, it’s a great time to host a food drive or participate in Treasure Coast Food Bank’s Virtual Food Drive with a monetary donation.
