Dodger baseball legend hosting Homeless Family Center dinner

VERO BEACH — Rick Monday, former Dodger outfielder and two-time Major League All-Star, broadcaster, and patriot, will welcome guests at The Homeless Family Center’s 8th Annual Dinner, “Home Run: Helping Homeless Families Get to Home Plate,” to be held Monday, Nov. 4, at Orchid Island Beach Club.

“We are thrilled that Rick will join us as we all work together to ‘hit one out of the park’ to end homelessness in our community,” said Mary Ellen Maguire, the Center’s Executive Director.

Funds raised at the event will support the center’s 22 year legacy of helping the less fortunate members of our community achieve self-sufficiency through education, living wages, and permanent housing.

It’s not too late to join the party, as tickets are still available.

“Stadium Under the Stars” cocktail party is $50 per person and will be held from 5-7 p.m. “Major League” dinner will be held from 5–9 p.m. with a cost of $175 per person.

Tickets are also available online at www.HomelessFamilyCenter.com or by calling Connie at (772) 567-5537 ext. 326.
