Women’s History Trivia & Tea Fundraiser

VERO BEACH — On Oct. 31 at 2 p.m., The American Association of University Women (AAUW Vero Beach Branch) will host a scholarship fundraiser for deserving women who attend Indian River State College (IRSC) or pursue graduate education.

Held at the Garden Club on 2526 17th Ave. in Vero Beach, this event will keep participants guessing through eight rounds of ten questions each.

The Women’s History Trivia categories will be: Is She for Real?; The Beauty Treatment; The Power of Three; Title IX: Women in Sports; It’s Me, Margaret; Name That Tune; Handy with a Needle; and Famous Firsts.

Up to 84 participants can join in this competitive and lively event. Tea sandwiches and sweets will be served along with teas donated by Tea and Chi.

Bone up on women’s history, don your hat, and join AAUW for a fun filled afternoon in this beautiful venue. Members of the winning table of six will each receive a free massage donated by local massage therapists, and a raffle will be held for free skin care services, also donated by local specialists.

The purpose of Vero Beach AAUW is to promote equality for all women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
