Voter registration deadline approaching for next municipal elections

VERO BEACH — Supervisor of Elections Leslie Swan would like to remind voters who reside within the cities of Sebastian and Vero Beach that Monday, Oct. 7, is the last day to register to vote for the Nov. 5 municipal elections. Voters must reside within the city limits to be eligible to vote in this election.

The registration deadline applies to new voter registrations only. Those who have already registered to vote do not need to reregister. You may register to vote or update your voter information at the Supervisor of Elections office, located at 4375 43rd Ave. in Vero Beach.

Voter registration applications are also available on the Election Office website and at public libraries, city halls, and county offices that handle social services.

Please note that address changes from another Florida county made at the polls on Election Day will require the voter to vote a provisional ballot. If you need to update your address, you may do so online at www.VoteIndianRiver.com or by calling (772) 226-3440.

For comprehensive election information or to request an absentee ballot, please call the Elections Office or visit the above mentioned website.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to you for the Nov. 5 Municipal Elections is Oct. 30.
