Nonprofits invited to submit for computer grant

VERO BEACH — In 1999, Rossway Moore Swan, Attorneys and Counselors at Law, originated from the desire to establish a diversified law firm to serve the ever evolving needs of the Treasure Coast.

The founding partners have built a firm that combines a wide array of legal services with an emphasis on efficiency, cost effectiveness, and compassion.

In an effort to maximize the firm’s charitable impact and to deepen their bond with the community, the partners created the Rossway Moore Swan Foundation as a branch of the firm devoted solely to giving.

Funded with contributions from the firm’s profits, the foundation becomes a partner in the firm’s success, so as to benefit the interests of the local community.

Managed by partner Tom Tierney, the foundation annually solicits proposals for assistance in the technological development of Indian River County charitable organizations.

To be eligible for a grant, an application must be completed and submitted by qualifying nonprofits for consideration beginning Oct. 1 through Dec. 1.

In January, 2014, the foundation board will conduct a review of all submitted applications and make a determination of which entities will be awarded a grant for the current year.

An application may be obtained by contacting our office at (772) 231-4440.

Last year, the foundation provided 17 generous computer hardware, software, and technology grants to Academy for the Performing Arts, Environmental Learning Center, Inc., Feed the Lambs Enrichment Program, Gifford Youth Orchestra, H.A.L.O.
