Kevin “Patrick” Michael Lane, 46, of Vero Beach, died on Aug. 25, 2013, after battling colon cancer.
Born on January 21, 1967 in Quebec, Canada, Lane moved to Vero Beach when he was eight years old with his parents Laurette and Alfred Lane.
He to work alongside his father for the family business, A. F. Lane Trucking.
Shortly after his father passed away in 2004, Lane took over running the business with his mother.
Diagnosed with colon cancer in 2009, Lane was seen as a fighter in the community for his determination to win his battle with cancer, and his perseverance to live his life to the fullest.
Survivors include his wife Lori Lane; their two children Amanda Caudill and Kevin W. Lane; and his mother Laurette Lane.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Caring Hearts Fund or Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center research in his memory.
The memorial service will be held at Lowther’s funeral home on Sept. 7, 2013, with visiting hours starting at 1 p.m., and the memorial service starting at 2 p.m.
There will also be a celebration of life at the Riverhouse on Sept. 14, 2013, starting at 3 p.m.
