FELLSMERE – Voters in Fellsmere have no need to go to the polls this November. No residents filed to challenge Mayor Susan Adams and Councilwoman Sara Savage for seats on the Fellsmere City Council.
Because the two council members filed to seek re-election and went unopposed, they will retain their seats at the dais without an election.
Adams has served on the Fellsmere Council since 2007 and is completing her third term. Savage was first elected in 2003 and is finishing her fifth term.
The pair will be sworn in for their next term in November. The council at that time will vote on a mayor and vice mayor.
