John Charles McDonald, 85, died at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach on Sept. 2, 2013.
He was born on Dec. 24th, 1927, in Geneseo N.Y.
He was predeceased by his wife Shirley and sister Geraldine Maxson.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business from Syracuse University.
He served as a member of the Kiwanis Club in Cornwall and headed up the first Canadian lottery.
He return to the States in the 1970s and assumed the position of manager for Hale Indian River Groves for over 25 years and was referred to by many in the citrus industry as a marketing guru.
He owned a number of groves in Indian River County and served on the Town Council of Indian River Shores.
Services will be held at Aycock Funeral Home on Friday at 2 p.m. with a viewing beforehand between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
