INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Over the weekend, during the Special Olympics Area 10 swim meet, eight athletes brought home 19 medals to Indian River County.
Marcy Bobell, Brittany Diehl, Justin Diehl, Chris Dunphrey, Amber Fallo, Lindsay Hires, Willie Hooker, and Michael Vanhoutin competed in the games Saturday and Sunday.
Here are the medals:
Marcy Bobell: 1 gold, 2 silver
Brittany Diehl: 3 silver
Justin Diehl: 1 gold, 1 silver
Chris Dunphrey: 1 gold, 2 silver
Amber Fallo: 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze
Lindsay Hires: 1 bronze
Willie Hooker: 1 silver
Michael Vanhoutin: 1 bronze
The state swim meet will be Oct. 5 and 6 at the North County Pool.
