VERO BEACH — Youth Outreach is a program designed for special needs individuals in Indian River County between the ages of 15 and 22. Twice a month, respite care is provided for developmentally disabled individuals.
Our professional staff has designed an exciting curriculum which features the opportunity to socialize in a safe, relaxed setting and enjoy games, computers, photography, crafts, creative cooking, (snacks) and much more.
Each session includes a delicious snack made by the participants. The sessions are at the West Campus (previously Sun Up) located at 2455 5th St. SW in Vero Beach.
The three hour classes are scheduled on Friday evenings between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.
For registration or additional information, please call Theresa Stewart at (772) 562-6854 ext. 219.
Space is limited to 15 individuals. 2013 semester schedule: Sept. 13 & 27, Oct. 11 & 25, Nov. 8 & 22, Dec. 6 & 20.
In previous semesters, we did some really fun and creative things: photography, made cards for various occasions, made Christmas decorations, decoupage clay pots, indulged in karaoke and computer searches, had a Mad Hatter Tea Party, and always made lots of delicious food.
SunUp ARC would again like to thank the John’s Island Foundation for underwriting the pilot program last year.
