VERO BEACH — Through a generous donation from Lou and Joanne Hagopian, the Indian River Habitat for Humanity ReStore (aka Home Center) received a new box truck this week to replace its aging predecessor.
The Hagopians are long-time supporters of Habitat, and he is a former member of Habitat’s Advisory Board.
The truck is a 2013 GMC Savannah 3500 from Linus Cadillac Buick GMC, and now sports colorful, new lettering on all sides. It will be used to pick up donations from businesses and individuals, a service the Habitat ReStore provides at no charge within Indian River County.
Since opening its doors in September 2005, the Habitat ReStore has become a vital fundraising arm of the affiliate, the funds generated by ReStore sales resulting in homes for more than 61 families.
The ReStore’s summer hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
