Indian River County offers $10,000 reward for info on vandalism cases

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Indian River County is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any individuals involved in a month’s worth of vandalism to county property.

The award and information, shared on their facebook page and website issues a $10,000 reward for vandalism that occurred at South County Park, 24th Avenue, fire hydrants throughout the county, Fleet Maintenance storage facility, Wabasso Causeway Park, and the County Administration Building.

A windshield of a county truck was broken  at South County Park; restrooms were also damaged. A manhole cover was missing at 4221 24th Ave.; batteries and cables were stolen from a Fleet Maintenance storage facility; benches at the Wabasso Causeway Park were damaged; and wheels were stolen from a county vehicle parked at the County Administration Building.

According to the public notice issued by the county, “the individual providing original information leading to the arrest and felony conviction of any one or several of the offenses listed above shall be entitled to a portion of the aggregate $10,000 to be determined in the sole discretion of the county.”
