VERO BEACH — Riverside Children’s Theatre announces upcoming auditions for its fall productions that include “Sleepy Hollow, A Musical Tale,” “A Christmas Carol,” and “The Nutcracker: In Swingtime.”
All auditions take place at the children’s theatre, located at 3280 Riverside Park Dr. in Vero Beach.
Open to ages 10 and up, “Sleepy Hollow” is an updated version of the classic tale. Auditions are Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 4 p.m. The show will be presented Oct. 18, 19, 25, and 26 as part of the all new RCT Spooktacular event.
Those auditioning are asked to prepare 16 measures of a musical theatre song and should be prepared to do some movement.
Saturday, Aug. 24, at 10 a.m., auditions will be held for “A Christmas Carol” and “The Nutcracker: In Swingtime.” Both of these shows will be presented in reparatory beginning Dec. 12.
Those auditioning for “A Christmas Carol” must be 8 years or older and should prepare 16 measures of a musical theatre type song and be ready to be taught some movement and cold readings from the script.
Nutcracker auditions will begin at 10 a.m. with staggered times for different age groups. Please call the theatre for specific times.
