Expedited services for those going back to school

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Florida Department of Health in Indian River County (FDOH IRC) is ready to help Indian River County families get what they need to go back to school.

FDOH IRC has been busy developing a back to school plan to help parents and guardians without a medical home get what they need for their children’s entry into school.

Certain immunizations and paperwork are required for school attendance, and FDOH IRC wants to help families get the needed immunizations and paperwork in preparation for the new school year.

“There are many things happening this time of year, and everyone is so busy that requirements for school can be overlooked. We are rearranging operations in August to help families get what they need quicker and easier.

We hope that our revised scheduling helps meet the school needs of the community,” said Cheryl Dunn, FDOH IRC acting administrator.

On Aug. 12, 13, and 14, Florida Department of Health in Indian River County will have expedited back to school services from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the main clinic site at 1900 27th St. in Vero Beach.
