VERO BEACH — Indian River Outfitters, LLC, owned and operated by Corby & Kim Durrell, was chosen as one of thirteen outfitters in the United States to be featured on an episode of The Outfitters (http://TheFordOutfitters.com.)
The new show is scheduled to air on the Sportsman channel in the third and fourth quarter of 2013.
For three rough-and-tumble days in June, Indian River Outfitters hosted Haley Heath, host of The Outfitters, Team Detroit, and InterMedia Outdoors for field production on one of Florida’s wildest outdoor hunting adventures for alligators and wild hogs.
Jeff Ward from Cutrite Outback in Vero Beach was on hand to assist Corby with the alligator hunt.
Haley Heath learned the terrain of the swamp and marshland, enjoyed some adventurous driving with Corby in the Ford SVT Raptor, saw the area on an airboat ride, and was able to bag a trophy gator. Later in the day, Haley, Corby, and the film and camera crew hunted for a wild hog and were successful in taking a huge one.
The Outfitters premieres on Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. EST on Sportsman channel.
The Indian River Outfitters episode Swamp Slasher is scheduled to air on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 8:30 p.m. EST with replays at 11:30 p.m. EST and again on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at 9:30 a.m. EST.
Indian River Outfitters can be hired for various hunting and fishing opportunities around the Treasure Coast area and in Polk County.
