Kenneth D. Tropf, 87, Vero Beach

Kenneth D. Tropf, 87, died July 29, 2013, at VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.

He was born in Cleveland and lived in Vero Beach for 43 years, coming from Northfield, Ohio.

He served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS St. Louis in the Pacific Theater as a gunner’s mate.

Before retirement, he worked for the Postal Service in Northfield, Ohio, and Fort Pierce for more than 30 years.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Doris Anne Tropf; son, Louie Tropf; daughters, Karen Hendricks, all of Vero Beach, and Jennie Massimino, of Fort Pierce; brother, Richard Tropf, of Mantua, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynnette Tropf.

Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce.
