Youth Guidance to celebrate 40th anniversary

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Enjoy great food while celebrating Youth Guidance’s 40th anniversary at Mulligan’s Beach House Bar & Grill on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 5-8 p.m.

Patrons who eat at Mulligan’s Sebastian and Vero Beach locations will also be supporting Youth Guidance because ten percent of sales will be donated to this mentoring and activities program.

Mulligan’s sponsors the ’12 Weeks of Summer Fun’ each year to celebrate the summer and give back to the community. Parents can enjoy tasty food, and kids eat for free while partaking in the activities.

There will be face painting, crafts, and toys to complement the Masquerade Night theme. The first 100 diners will receive a special anniversary gift.

Youth Guidance has a long history in Indian River County and is proud to be celebrating their 40th anniversary with a business and community who are dedicated to the future of our youth.

The nonprofit has been serving Indian River County’s at-risk children since 1973 by providing activities and positive adult role models.

Youth Guidance has been able to stay strong in the community for this length of time because of the commitment and devotion of their volunteers, staff, board, and community members.

The mission of Youth Guidance, a United Way partner agency, is to empower Indian River County’s neediest youth through mentoring relationships and broaden their horizons with educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities.

The agency is actively seeking volunteers to serve as mentors or periodic volunteers to participate in the variety of group mentoring programs and ongoing activities for children enrolled in the program, or to provide regular help in the office.

Youth Guidance is also looking for partnerships with businesses, service clubs, and church groups to pair with children for just one activity a year.

Persons interested in volunteering, mentoring, or making a donation may visit the website www.YouthGuidanceProgram.org or call (772) 770-5040 for more information.
