Bernice Bruce, 77, died July 27, 2013, at home.
She was born in Fellsmere and was a lifelong resident of Indian River County.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Frank B. Bruce, of Vero Beach; sons, Aaron Curtis Fretwell, of Tennessee, Gary Eugene Fretwell and Donald Edward Fretwell, both of Virginia; daughter, Debbi Kay Clarke, of Vero Beach; sisters, Sadie Wilcoxon, of Tennessee and Ruth Dean, of Vero Beach; brother, Hayward Rimes, of North Carolina; and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marie Gulledge and Sue Wilcoxon; brother, William Riley Rimes Jr.; and a granddaughter.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. July 31 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
Inurnment will follow at Winter Beach Cemetery.
