Kenneth Nicholas Louisa, 84, Vero Beach

Kenneth Nicholas Louisa, 84, died July 24, 2013, at VNA Hospice, Vero Beach.

He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach and Fort Pierce for 17 years, coming from West Palm Beach and Brooklyn.

He served in the Army during World War II.

Before retirement, he was a mechanical engineer for Gabila Bakery in Brooklyn, N.Y., for 22 years.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Port St. Lucie.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Bernice Louisa, of Vero Beach; sons, Paul Louisa, of Brooklyn, Robert Louisa, of West Palm Beach and Steven Louisa and Brian Louisa, both of Staten Island, N.Y; sister, Virginia Genna, of Orlando; eight stepchildren; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 29 step-grandchildren; and 21 stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Sylvia; daughter, Carol Bushey; and son, Gary Louisa Sr.

Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice and Hospice Foundation 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Services will be conducted at a later date.

Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home in Fort Pierce.
