Michael I. Nelson, 65, died July 16, 2013. He was born in Lowell, Mass., and moved to Vero Beach 10 years ago, coming from Key West.
He was a longtime business owner in Key West.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Memphis State University.
He was a former member of the Longwood Cricket Club, Boston.
Survivors include his daughter, Angelique Nelson-Soderman, of Vero Beach; sister, Susan Kalil; brother, Walter Nelson; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Brent Nelson.

Services will be private.
