Karen Alisa Whitear, 50, Vero Beach

Karen Alisa Whitear, 50, died July 16, 2013, at VNA Hospice House.

She was born in Providence, R.I., and lived in Vero Beach for one year, coming from Coral Springs.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Baptist Church by the Glades in Coral Springs.

Survivors include her son, Andrew Marrocelli, of Coral Springs; daughter, SkylaKim Emperador, of Coral Springs; mother and stepfather, Esther and Charles Brulet, of Vero Beach; brother, Karl D’Ambrosio, of North Adams, Mass.; and sisters, Kimberly A. D’Ambrosio, of Vero Beach and Candace Kovach, of Flushing, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her father, Andrea I. D’Ambrosio; paternal grandmother, Eleanor T. D’Ambrosio; and maternal grandparents, Magdalan A. and Charles E. Booth.

Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. July 19 at New Hope Ministries in Vero Beach.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
