He was born in Giersdorf, Germany, and was a resident of Vero beach since 1977, coming from St. Catherine, Ontario, Canada.
He was a self employed carpenter, having retired from Cal Builders.
He was the co-owner of Bobo Cabinets of Vero Beach.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Marilyn Lachnitt, of Vero Beach; son Carl Lachnitt, of Vero Beach; brother, Klaus Lachnitt, of Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada; and a grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 5090 Dunn Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services will be at a later date.
