Pearl “Penny” Umland, 90, died July 4, 2013, at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in New York City and moved to Vero Beach 32 years ago from Stamford, Conn.
She was of the Jewish faith.
She volunteered with the VNA Hospice House including serving on its board.
Survivors include her son Mark Umland of Conyers, Ga.; daughters, Bonnie Praver, of Woodbury, N.Y., Laurie Jones, of Oyster Bay, N.Y., and Sherry Stawiarz, of Monson, Mass.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince Umland; and a son, Roy Praver.

A graveside service was July 12 at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
