During the month of July, McKee Botanical Garden is offering trial memberships to the Garden valid July through September 30 for just $10 for an individual or $15 for a family.
In addition to unlimited admission to McKee during July, August, and September, membership benefits include a 10% discount at the Garden Gift Shop and free or reduced admission to more than 200 gardens, museums, and arboreta throughout the country through the American Horticultural Society’s reciprocal admission program, in which Florida has 17.
A number of the Garden’s unique botanical specimens peak during the summer months such as the majestic Queen Crepe Myrtle and dozens of varieties of waterlilies, including the colorful Woods Blue Goddess and Peach Glow, as well as the exotic Victoria Amazonica, offering visitors a true feast for the senses.
Especially for children is McKee’s new Garden Discovery Backpacks program. Each backpack contains an activity guide and journal along with an assortment of educational materials to utilize while exploring the Garden.
Children can choose from five different age-appropriate themes: Garden Explorer, Things with Wings, It’s a Bug’s World, Plantastic, and Survival: Lost in the Jungle. These backpacks are exclusive to McKee Botanical Garden and can be reserved at Admissions for no additional cost. Check out a different backpack and create a new adventure each week.
