Jacqueline A. Wright, 61 Vero Beach

Jacqueline A. Wright, 61, died June 28, 2013, in Vero Beach.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and lived in Vero Beach for 38 years, coming from Portland, Ore.

She attended Portland State University in Portland.

She owned and operated with her husband a restaurant/tavern named Copperfield’s in the early 1980s in downtown Vero Beach.

She was the director of preschool in Sebastian for several years before helping to create the pre-K Early Intervention Program in Indian River County.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Kenneth “Ted” Wright, of Vero Beach; son, Justin Wright, of Carlsbad, Calif.; daughters, Andrea Smith, of Brevard, N.C., and Ashley Wright, of Vero Beach; sisters, Jeanette Hankle, of Salem, Ore., and Julie Melton, of Vero Beach; stepmother, Betty Miller, of Salem, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice and Jack Miller.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. July 5 at First Presbyterian Church chapel in Vero Beach.
