Norwood “Woody” W. Lindblom, 93, died June 28, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 15 years, coming from Short Hills, N.J.
He graduated from Fordham University in New York.
He was with the 3rd Army as a forward observer and air observer, first lieutenant in World War II landing on Omaha Beach in 1944.
He received two Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, Croix de Guerre and Air Combat Award Medal.
Before retirement, he was vice president and partner of O’Gorman & Young Inc., Chatham, N.J., where he worked for 48 years.
He was a board Member of the National Association of Casualty and Surety Agents.
He was a lifetime member of the New Jersey Historical Society; director of the National Society to Prevent Blindness, New Jersey; and director of the New Jersey Chapter of New Eyes for the Needy.
He was a member of the Short Hills Club, Army & Navy Club in Washington, D.C., Essex Club, Newark, N.J., and Downtown Athletic Club in New York.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Zegras, of Fairfield, Conn., and Elizabeth Kefalos, of Columbia, S.C.; son, Mark Lindblom, of West Palm Beach; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Mary Lewis Lindblom.

A private gathering will be at his home from 4 to 6 p.m. June 30.
