Donald Foster Mahaney, 81, died June 27, 2013, at Vero Beach.
He was born in Baltimore and lived in Vero Beach for 24 years, coming from Long Green, Md.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business from the University of Maryland.
He served in the Army, 101st Airborne Division.
Before retirement in 1989, he was the founder of Allied Container Corp. and Allied Packaging Corp. in Baltimore and remained chairman and owner for 30 years.
He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Jeannette Windsor Mahaney, of Vero Beach; daughter, Theresa Lynn DiVirgilio, of Sarasota; and son, Donald F. Mahaney Jr., of St. Petersburg; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. July 2 at Christ By The Sea United Methodist Church.
A private internment will be at the John’s Island Cemetery in Indian River Shores.
