INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — All through the year, in addition to the “regulars,” we welcome newcomers to our volunteer family. We couldn’t do a thing without them.
Recent newbies: This happy group from Novo Nordisk spent a busy workday in the Home Center ReStore.
“Thank you for a wonderful orientation and introduction to the Habitat ReStore. Our team enjoyed meeting you and your volunteer team, and it was a great team-building experience,” they said in a note afterwards.
The Home Center ReStore was also delighted to welcome Blanche Scalora, who got to work and became a member of the volunteer team right away. Blanche’s husband, Tony, has been a volunteer for years, building pretty much anything and everything in the warehouse workshop.
We are currently seeking someone who can speak Creole, as well as volunteers, to join our special events committees: the HabiTrot and HabiDash; the Cracker Hoedown; and the Bowl to Build.
