Edmund H. Zwiernik, 84, died June 23, 2013, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Detroit and lived in Vero Beach for more than a year, coming from Capac, Mich.
Before retirement, he worked as a test driver and was a certified mechanic for the Ford Motor Co. for 20 years.
While working at Ford he also owned his own furnace repair and maintenance business.
He attended Faith Baptist Church in Vero Beach and was active in the Memphis Free Methodist Church in Michigan.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Schook, of Sebastian, Kathy Barfield, of Arizona, Bonnie Calhoun, of Vero Beach and Etta Clark, of Michigan; son, Ron Zwiernik, of Cape Coral; brothers, Conrad Zwiernik and John Zwiernik, both of Michigan; sister, Mary Jane Zorlen, of Michigan; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alma Mae Zwiernik.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. July 6 at Faith Baptist Church.
