VERO BEACH — The Trio Upward Bound Parents Associations presents the annual Mr. and Miss Trio Upward Bound Summer Pageant. The program includes singing, dancing, original poetry reading by local youth, and concludes with the crowning of the Mr. and Miss Trio Upward Bound.
The 2013 theme is Michael Jackson’s Thriller “A Night of Thrills n Chills” and will be held in the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center on July 2 at 7 p.m.
The annual pageant is a parent association fundraising event. All proceeds go to scholarships and educational enrichment activities for the students in the program.
Trio Upward Bound is a pre-collegiate program that provides academic assistance and cultural experience to students in Indian River County.
