John Erick Wickstrom, 71, died June 18, 2013, at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian.
He was born in Chicago and lived in Sebastian.
Before retiring, he worked as a salesman for Heil Chicago in McCook, Ill.
He was the vice president of Friends of Sebastian Inlet State Park.
He was on the board of Sebastian Fishing Club, and the board of HOA Sebastian Lakes.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Judith Wickstrom, of Sebastian; daughter, Cheryl Wickstrom, of Chicago; son, David Wickstrom, of San Francisco; sister, Doris Wickstrom, of Minneapolis; and one grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Sebastian Inlet State Park, in care of McLarty Treasure Museum, 13180 N. State Road A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32963.
Services will be scheduled at a later date.
