Danny Rushing, 52, died June 18, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in East St. Louis, Ill., and lived in Vero Beach for 25 years, coming from Edwardsville, Ill.
He worked as a house painter.
Survivors include his sons, Danny Rushing Jr. and Jessie Rushing; daughter, Stephanie Rushing; sisters, Joyce Chapman, of Edwardsville, Peggy Smith, of Vero Beach, Joann Rushing, of Greenville, Ky., Donna Hopkins and Wanda Polley, both of Granite City, Ill., and Gloria Rushing, of Hawaii; and brothers, David Rushing, of Vero Beach and Terry Atkins, of Granite City, Ill.
He was preceded in death by parents, Daniel and Clara Rushing; and sister, Barbara Simpson.
Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. June 21 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
