Mildred “Milly” Corbett Clark, 94, Vero Beach

Mildred “Milly” Corbett Clark, 94, died June 14, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from Dade County.

During World War II, she was the supervisor of a radio manufacturer that designed and made radios for the Allied troops.

Before retirement, she worked as a cook for Hialeah Junior High School in the Dade County School District.

She attended Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach.

She received the Valiant Woman Award from Church Women United and was a member of the Ruth Circle Women’s Church Group.

Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Pastor Richard Clark; daughters, Mildred Ann Ward, of Tennessee and Susanne Gilnett, of Virginia; brother, John Mirola, of New York; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Corbett.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Our Savior Lutheran Church Building Fund, 1850 Sixth Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. June 22 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Vero Beach with Pastor Jack Diehl officiating.

Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
