Scott B. Lemee, 90, died June 9, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Bridgewater, Mass., and lived in Vero Beach for 22 years, coming from Ashfield, Mass.
He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, having served as platoon sergeant.
He worked 10 years for the Bridgewater Police Department, where he served as sergeant for five years.
He later worked as staff adjuster for Motors Insurance Corp. in Boston, Burlington, Vt., and Syracuse, N.Y.
Prior to his retirement in 1987, he served as supervising appraiser and claim examiner for Kemper Insurance, serving Chicago, Quincy, Mass., and Springfield, Mass.
He was a member of the VFW in Bridgewater, Ashfield Golf Club, Worthington Golf Club in Worthington, Mass., Dodger Pines Country Club in Vero Beach and Hilltown Snowmobile Club in Ashfield.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Fay L. Lemee, of Vero Beach; daughter, Joyce A. Danello, of Sarasota; sons, Scott B. Lemee, of Port Crane, N.Y., and Earl Bradford Lemee, of Evergreen, Colo.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Bevis Lemee in 1960; sisters, Greta Johnston and Irva M. Miller; and brother, Albert R. Lemee.
Inurnment will be at Ashfield Plain Cemetery at a later date.
