Luis Rosado Gonzalez, 81, Vero Beach

Luis Rosado Gonzalez, 81, died June 4, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.

He was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Matawan, N.J., in 1978.

He was an Army veteran and received the expert gunner 90 mm and expert pistol medals.

He was employed for 14 years at Dodgertown in Vero Beach.

Survivors include his companion, Linda Brown, of Vero Beach; sons, Roland Gonzalez, of Charlotte, N.C., and Robert Gonzalezm of Vero Beach; daughter, Linda Gonzalez, of New Jersey; 11 brothers and sisters; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Gonzalez.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers/Parkinsons Association, 2300 Fifth Ave., Suite 150, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. June 10 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, at a later date.
