Carolyn Opdyke Spatcher, 89, died June 2, 2013, at Grace Rehabilitation Center of Vero Beach.
She was born in Hackensack, N.J., and was a seasonal resident of Vero Beach from 1993 until moving here permanently in 2005.
She was an office manager for an insurance adjusting firm in Middletown, N.Y., before her retirement in 1975.
She was a hospice volunteer in both New York and Vero Beach, and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn McClintock, of Oakhurst, Texas; sons, William Spatcher II, of Laurel Fork, Va., and Carleton Spatcher, of Vero Beach; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Graveside services will be private at a later date at Brick Church Cemetery, Montgomery, N.Y.
