Betty F. Benson, 84, died May 21, 2013, at VNA Hospice House.
She was born in Indianapolis and moved to Vero Beach in 1976, coming from her birthplace.
She was the owner and operator of Benson’s Lock Service, Vero Beach, from 1977 to 2005.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 39, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her sons, Dale Bloomer and Jerry Bloomer, both of Indianapolis; brothers, Jack Long, of Port St. Lucie, David Long, of Vero Beach and Bobby Long, of Indianapolis; sisters, Nancy Bergenroth, of Sneads and Rosie Bailey and Carolyn Bailey, both of Fort Pierce; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Allison Johnson; brother, Billy Long; and sister, Janet.
