Wade Frederick Riley, 51, Vero Beach

Wade Frederick Riley, 51, died May 15, 2013, at VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.

He was born in Miami and lived on the Treasure Coast for 20 years, coming from Tallahassee.

He worked for Florida Power & Light Co. and Enviropact, both in Miami; Savannah Labs in Tallahassee; Harbor Branch Oceanographic in Fort Pierce; HBEL Inc. in Palm City as an environmental chemist; and most recently by Gilbert and Co. in Vero Beach.

He received his bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from Florida State University.

He also studied at FSU Edward Ball Marine Laboratory and University of Florida Whitney Lab for Marine Bioscience.

He served with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 382 in Miami, and was an Eagle Scout.

He was a member of the Sebring International Raceway Track Operations Team, International Plastic Modelers Society “The Night Fighters” of Vero Beach, the American Modelers Association and Florida Modelers Association.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Judith Densmore Riley, of Vero Beach.

He was preceded by his parents, Frederick and Betty Jo Riley.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. May 31 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. June 1 at the funeral home.
