The VNA receives Legion of Honor Award

VERO BEACH — The VNA recently accepted the prestigious Legion of Honor Award presented by The Chapel of Four Chaplains.

The Chapel of Four Chaplains established The Legion of Honor Award to recognize and encourage acts of volunteerism, and is given in recognition of exceptional selfless service on the part of an individual who contributes to the well-being of his or her community.

The Legion of Honor Program, founded in 1951, publicly recognizes persons whose lives model the kind of selfless service to the community.

“We are honored to receive this award, and I want to thank the Chapel of Four Chaplains on behalf of our associates, board members, patients, families, and volunteers,” said President and CEO Joyce Baldrica.

Nominations for the Legion of Honor Award are accepted by the Awards Committee, from recipients of the Legion of Honor, church and government leaders, and leaders of civic, fraternal, and veterans organizations.

The VNA is the first company or non-individual to receive this prestigious award since the founding of the program in 1951.
