Dr. John Glenn Cumming III, 63, died April 23, 2013. He was born in Irvington, N.J., and moved to Vero Beach four years ago, coming from Washington, D.C.
He served in the Navy as a lieutenant commander and physician.
Before retirement, he practiced medicine and served on the medical staff of Georgetown University Hospital.
He was a member of the International Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta and a member of the Metropolitan Club in Washington, D.C.
He was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and received his medical degree from George Washington University Medical School.
Survivors include his son, John G. Cumming IV, of Bethesda, Md.; brother, Robert Cumming, of Yardley, Pa.; and sister, Barbara Tiesi, of Tewksbury, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Olga H. Cumming in 2012 and father, John G. Cumming Jr. in 1969.
A memorial service will be conducted in Bedminster, N.J.
