What if you could look at your parents’ social media page today, as an adult, to review your childhood? Would you want to?
It’s an interesting question as I raise my first child. Just looking back 8 months at how much content we have posted on social media is mind blowing.
Video, photo, blurbs about daily life as a parent, viewing the good times and the more trying times.
Unlike our parents’ photo albums that don’t have much in the way of text, we have video that in our own voice we can hear the joy of raising a family and, sometimes, the frustration about not knowing exactly what to do.
I don’t know if I want my kid to see my page. “Ignorance is bliss” is a quote that comes to mind. I don’t know if I’d want to know the ins and outs of my parents raising me.
What do you think? Will you share your social media page with your children when they’re older?
