Indian River Mall celebrates Mom’s Nite Out May 9

VERO BEACH — It’s high time for moms to be pampered.

On May 9, Indian River Mall is the place to be as Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG,) the world’s leading retail real estate company, provides a free evening of relaxation and fun in honor of national Mom’s Nite Out.

One hundred twenty-nine Simon properties will be participating in this year’s event.

The presenting sponsor of Simon’s Mom’s Nite Out celebration this year is Rethink Varicose Veins.

Local event sponsors include: 93.7 The Breeze and Menz & Battista Attorneys At Law.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Harvest Food and Outreach Center.

At Indian River Mall, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an exciting evening filled with refreshments, entertainment, fashion and beauty services, all focused on rewarding Moms.

From 6-8 p.m. in Dillard’s Court, moms can visit with over 30 vendors, enjoy food samplings from Applebee’s, Mambo’s Café, and over 10 other restaurants.

“Moms are so incredibly deserving of a night off, and it is our privilege to be the venue where they come to enjoy it,” said Ursula Gunter, director of mall marketing at Indian River Mall.

Gunter added that as an extra bonus, one lucky mom and her friend will be treated to a trip to Chicago to see Bon Jovi’s “Because We Can” tour at historic Soldier Field on Friday, July 12. Bon Jovi’s new release, “What About Now” is in stores now.

Rethink Varicose Veins is an educational campaign encouraging the more than 30 million Americans who suffer from venous disease, including varicose veins and chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), to rethink their condition and recognize it as a serious health concern.

The campaign, led by a coalition of medical societies and sponsored by Covidien, encourages those with venous disease to learn more about their condition, find a vein specialist, and make informed decisions about the best and often minimally-invasive treatment option for them.

As part of the campaign, Olympic Gold Medalist Summer Sanders shares her personal story about the impact venous disease had on her life and the improvements she experienced following treatment.

The Rethink Varicose Veins team will be at Mom’s Nite Out dispelling the myths about varicose veins and encouraging attendees to take a quick self-assessment to determine their risk for varicose veins and CVI.

Taking the self-assessment will automatically enter attendees for an opportunity to win a spa getaway weekend at the Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, Nov. 14-17, 2013. Also visit www.RethinkVV.com/Escape for a chance to win.

Originally organized by Maria Bailey, CEO of BSM Media, author, mom, and Talk Radio host, National Mom’s Nite Out unites social media groups, companies, local playgroups, mom bloggers, and networks in giving moms a well-deserved night off.

Bailey brought the first National Mom’s Nite Out to life after watching moms take care of everyone else on Mother’s Day, but never themselves.

“National Mom’s Nite Out is one of the largest cooperative efforts of mommy groups, Mom-focused organizations and corporations, and bloggers; all coming together for one great night in support of motherhood,” Bailey said.
