Marguerite Fowler, 84, died April 28, 2013, at Atlantic Health Care Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Jacksonville and lived in Vero Beach for 45 years, coming from her birth place.
Before her retirement she worked for the Indian River County School District.
She owned her own business, Sweets by Marguerite.
She also was a long time member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
She was a member of the Vero Beach Historical Society and volunteered at the Environmental Learning Center.
Survivors include her sons, Thomas Fowler Jr. and Robert Fowler, both of Vero Beach; daughters, Marguerite Smothers, of Hockessin, Del., and Rosemary Goddard and Christine Coleman, both of Vero Beach; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas William Fowler Sr.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. May 3 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
A prayer service will be at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 4 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
