Robert Paul Barnett, 91, died April 28, 2013 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He lived in Vero Beach for more than 25 years, coming from Pittsburgh.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 8th Air Force in the European theater of operations, based in England.
He was the lead bombardier in a bomb group of B17 aircraft, flying 25 missions over Germany from 1944 to 1945.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, where he served as elder and later as head usher.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Men’s Group and had a record attendance at their Tuesday morning breakfasts.
He was a past member of the Vero Beach Country Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Betty, who was a war bride.
